How we see children
H. O. M. E. stands for Healthy, Organized, Meaningful, Educational. That is the belief behind everything here: children need all four to grow and learn. We opened in 2005, and the owner brought over 25 years of early childhood education experience. Teachers plan lessons in two curriculums, SmartTeach and Learning Beyond Paper, so each child's day has shape and purpose. Come develop with us as partners.
Walk into a room and you see children working at their own level. The Learning Beyond curriculum gives teachers 52 weeks of lesson plans and over 4,000 daily activities, from infants to Pre-K 4. Activities adjust to each child's goals. Teachers choose topics and move between age groups, with STEAM woven through science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Children explore their potential while a caring team promotes early learning.
Families can feel the difference standards make. We are accredited with NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and hold the silver circle of excellence with ExceleRate Illinois. Our headteachers have been in practice more than 10 years, and all teaching staff hold credentials from Gateways of Opportunities. Together we bring over 65 years of experience in this field.

What you notice in practice
Teachers plan from two curriculums, SmartTeach and Learning Beyond Paper, and use a robust curriculum to keep days organized and meaningful. Lessons are chosen for the group, then adjusted to each child's learning level and goals. Teachers kneel to a child's eye level, join small groups, and follow what holds attention. Academic support sits next to fun activities.
Rooms are set up for choice. Materials sit where children can reach them, and activities rotate through the day. Out of 52 weeks of lesson plans and over 4,000 daily activities, teachers shape a pace that fits the age group, with STEAM built in. We offer a caring environment that promotes early learning. Come see the facility for yourself.

How we work with families
At pickup, teachers tell you what your child did, not just how the day went. The headteachers behind those conversations have been in practice more than 10 years, and every teacher holds credentials from Gateways of Opportunities. Our mission is to be a resource for children, families, and the community. Consider us a source for social and emotional support in raising your child. Ask us anything.
Starting somewhere new is a family change, not just a child one. We see ourselves as a resource for families and the community, so we walk the first weeks with you. Teachers share what your child settles into and what is still hard. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care while making the environment meaningful for children. Questions are welcome at any point.
